Hamilton is an easy commute to Kansas City for work
or shopping, yet so safe you can walk the streets at
night without fear. The school is small enough that
your kids will be able to participate in extra-curricular
activities without getting lost in the crowd, yet its excellent quality
curriculum will be a boost to any college-bound student.
The city boasts a convenient grocery store, two
excellent medical clinics, a large hardware store,
a Dollar General, two gas and convenience stores,
several specialty and antique stores and a number of
service businesses to meet your needs.
For leisure time activities, there is a large stocked
city reservoir for fishing, a bowling alley, municipal swimming pool, tennis
courts and large softball / baseball complex. Golfers will find a challenging
nine hole grass green course and children can enjoy the city playground.
City parks include the J. C. Penney Park downtown, featuring a large
community mural, and located right next to the J. C. Penney Boyhood Home and
the Hamilton Community Arts Theatre.
If you want to get involved, there are number of civic
organizations that love to include new, energetic volunteers, including the
Hamilton Lions, scouting groups, parent-teacher organizations and
sororities. And of course, there are several churches that will roll out the
welcome mat for visitors and those interested in transferring memberships. If you want to find a place where youıll feel welcome,
